You can deduct fair market value on Schedule A with Form 8283. Example: a $3,000 computer donation is roughly a $1,000 deduction. We provide a receipt with EIN 85-4281929.
Are there special benefits for businesses?
Yes — under Section 170(e)(3), corporate donors of inventory can deduct up to 2x their basis. Not available to individual donors.
Can I donate non-working devices?
Sometimes — for parts or training use. Ask us first. Either way, nothing we can't use goes to a landfill.
